Industry Minister Visits Ferron Site Cikarang

Minister of Industry Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Airlangga Hartarto, has been visited PT Ferron Par Pharmaceuticals site Cikarang on Thursday, July 5th 2018. The visit was part of series from Making Indonesia 4.0 program by Indonesian Government.

Minister of Industry Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by Secretariat General, Mr. Haris Munandar; Directorate General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation and Electronics Industries (ILMATE), Mr Harjanto; Directorate General of Resilience and International Industrial Access Development, Mr. I Gusti Putu Suryawirawan, and Directorate General of Small and Medium Industries, Mrs. Gati Wibawaningsih.

The visit has warmly welcomed by CEO of Dexa Group, Mr. Ferry A. Soetikno, along with the Board of Directors and Commissioners of FPP, Mr. Krestijanto Pandji, Mr. Roy Ibrahim, Mr. Benny Sutisna Suwarno, and Executive Director of DLBS Mr. Raymond R. Tjandrawinata. The scientists who are in the neighborhood from Ferron, DLBS, DDC, and Fonko are also attend.

In his speech, Mr. Ferry hopes that through this visit, the Minister of Industry and staff more knowing better the innovation and competitiveness that has been done by Dexa Group and commitment to supporting Making Indonesia 4.0 program.

Mr Ferry added, from research center owned by Dexa Group, PT Ferron currently reduce the using of imported raw materials. The scientist team still develop the utilization of local materials and herbal ingredients as raw materials for medicine.

"There is one technology which our medicine for injection can be produced in our country, so we can reduce imports," Mr. Ferry said.

Meanwhile, Minister of Industry in his speech stated that the pharmaceutical industry is one of the pillars industry that reliable in the Fourth Industrial Revolution by the Government. He added, for reduce dependency with imported raw materials, the Government is preparing road map about the Level of Domestic Content - Tingkat Kandungan Dalam Negeri (TKDN). The road map contains steps that the industry must take for reduce dependency on imported raw materials.

For encouraging the industry for maximize the utilization of local raw materials, the Minister of Industry said the government will provide tax incentives. The incentive will be given to industries who do research development for local materials and can substitute imported raw materials.

The visit was ended by giving souvenir to the Minister of Industry which directly given by Mr. Ferry Soetikno. After that, the group of the Ministry of Industry RI having a photo session with the board of directors and management Dexa Group. Corporate Communications Ferron Par Pharmaceuticals
